The Clune project is a garage conversion into an Accessory Dwelling Unit located in Venice Beach, Los Angeles. As housing pressures continue to intensify near the coast, this project responds by adding a discreet, thoughtfully designed unit to the existing property. The new ADU provides flexible living space that supports both long-term rental potential and family use. With natural ventilation, coastal light, and a simple material palette, the unit offers a bright and comfortable environment within a walkable neighborhood. For the homeowner, Clune not only generates additional income but also contributes to addressing the city’s urgent housing shortage through small-scale, incremental development.
