CENTER FOR PACIFIC URBANISM

In 2020, Pacific Urbanism, a social enterprise that is guided by the principles of social equity, environmental justice, and community economic development, launched the chapter 501(c)3 non-profit research Center for Pacific Urbanism with five main objectives: 1) community driven supply, maintenance, and governance of the built environment and essential infrastructure, 2) analysis of empirical data germane to our guiding principles, 3) public education in regards to observed trends in the areas of focus, 4) policy evaluation, and 5) a paradigmatic shift in industry, government, and academia towards community economic development.

As our team engages in research and produces an inventory of methods, observations, and discussions, we organize these results into publications that are made available for the public, policymakers, academics, and community stakeholders through the Center for Pacific Urbanism's online and printed publications.
